The 11th Annual Ymir Whirl
Ymir is hosting their 11th annual Disc Golf Tournament at the Salmo 27 holes course on Saturday August 30th, 2008. The tournament is a full day of fun with 2 rounds of 27 holes in the mix. The course in Salmo is very challenging with a variety of shots necessary. Last year a small group of Rosslanders represented but more should and will be in the mix this year. The tourney is very well organized and includes a sweet Tee, lunch and tons of prize opportunities. If people are interested a practice round could be played on the week prior to the tourney. Post your ideas on the site to get a crew together. It would be fantastic to have a quality group head out that way and show the rest of the West Koots that we can smash chains with the best of them. Tucker is even thinking of making a guest appearance for this one.

Benner's Bog...
Hole 5 and 14 are simple holes. Throw the disc out to the right and let the natural flight of the disc bring it back to a basket only 150 feet away... Easier said than done. The reality of the situation is that there is a little swampy area on the left that happens to be right where your disc flies if you don't follow through with the above scenario mentioned. There is one man that has led the charge in this bog, having thrown his disc in there a many a time and often letting it become the demise of his round and that is Blaine Benner. Though Blaine has become the butt of many a Bog joke, Bri Bri has tried his hardest to take some of the heat off of ol' Benner. See Pictures below...
